Polish Home Expansion & Remodeling Fund Committee Progress Report #7, October 31, 2005
The Project Our goal is to construct an extension to the Polish Home building that will improve functionality of the building by adding space for new rooms as well as an elevator and new stairs for better access. This is the Phase I of the Master Plan. The Master Plan and the details of the current project are described in a brochure available at the Polish Home and on the internet at www.PolishHomeFoundation.org/PHremodeling.htm. Progress so far The fall fundraising goes very well, altogether the Committee has received financial pledges for over $185,000. The fundraising effort restarted in September will continue for the whole year. The negotiation process with the City has ended and the Building Committee has received the conditional use permit. We are grateful to our architect, Mr. Roy Koczarski for his is successful efforts on behalf of the Polish Home. Plans for the fall 2005 In the fall we would like to achieve the following
Volunteers & feedback needed Public meetings of the Committee are scheduled every third Thursday of the month a7 7p at the Polish Home. The next meetings will take place on November 17 and December 15, 2005. We welcomes everybody who would like to help with the project or the fundraising campaign. Ryszard Kott, Committee Chairman Komitet Funduszu Rozbudowy Domu Polskiego Raport #7, 31 X. 2005 Projekt Celem rozbudowy Domu Polskiego jest poprawienie funkcjonalności budynku poprzez dodanie przestrzeni na nowe sale a także instalację windy i nowych schodów. Jest to Etap #1 docelowego planu głównego. Plan główny oraz szczegóły bieżącego projektu są opisane w broszurze dostępnej w Domu Polskim oraz na Internecie pod adresem www.PolishHomeFoundation.org/PHremodeling.htm. Dotychczasowe wyniki Jesienna zbiórka pieniędzy rozpoczęła się bardzo dobrze – łącznie Komitet zebrał przyrzeczenia finansowania projektu na sumę ponad $185,000 Zbiórka wznowiona we wrześniu będzie kontynuowana przez cały rok. Zakończył się proces negocjacji zezwolenia wstępnego z miastem – Dom Polski uzyskał tzw. conditional use permit na rozbudowę. Dziękujemy naszemu architektowi, panu Royowi Koczarskiemu za przeprowadzenie tej trudnej sprawy. Dalsze plany na jesień 2005 Jesienią pragniemy dokonać jeszcze następujących rzeczy.
Zaproszenie do współpracy Otwarte zebrania Komitetu odbywają się w każdy trzeci czwartek miesiąca o 7 wieczorem w Domu Polskim. Najbliższe zebrania odbędą się 17.XI oraz 15.XII. 2005.
